British individuals invested more than 30 billion pounds in crypto

It is not necessarily striking that Ethereum is in second place, but rather that Dogecoin is in third place. After all, on CoinMarketCap we only find Dogecoin in place 10. Litecoin is also a reasonable surprise on the list. With the British, this coin is apparently in place 4, while Litecoin can be found in place 22 on CoinMarketCap.

British men in particular have crypto

It should come as no surprise that it is mostly British men who invest in crypto. While 34 percent of the total population invests in crypto, 41 percent of men are active in the industry. On average, they have invested 767 British pounds in crypto. In contrast, only 27 percent of women invest in crypto, plus the fact that they invested ‘just’ 214 pounds on average.

While 34 percent of the UK population owns various cryptocurrencies, only 11 percent say they have a lot of knowledge, while 19 percent say they have a reasonable knowledge of the industry. The researchers further indicate that the amount invested by the British is likely to continue to grow, as the average person says they want to invest another 593 pounds.
