A 58-year-old base jumper was killed in an accident on Saturday midday during a jump in the Italian Alps. The victim, of British nationality, took off from a cliff located on the heights of Paganella, near Trento (Italy), said the local service of the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps the next day.
A rescue helicopter mobilized
The circumstances surrounding the death of the 50-year-old have not been communicated. The Briton fell 400 meters. A witness quickly alerted the emergency services, which intervened on board a helicopter. The victim was already dead when they arrived.
