Brett Lee is amazing in the last over, World Giants won the game, then India lost

In the second game of the 2023 League of Legends being played in Doha, Qatar, the World Giants defeated India Maharaja by two runs. In this impressive match, the World Giants led by Aaron Finch scored 166 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs after the first play. Until 19 overs it looked as if India Maharaja’s side would easily win this match but Brett Lee saved 8 runs in the last over and made his side win the losing game.

Captain Gautam Gambhir scored his second successive half-century for India Maharaja, but was unable to win his team. Gambhir played a very useful innings of 68 runs off just 42 balls but was not supported by any of the other batsmen.

At one point it looked as though India Maharaja’s team would easily chase down the 167-run target, but then wickets kept falling at regular intervals and the last 12 balls were reduced to 21 runs. During this Murali Vijay 11, Suresh Raina 19 and Yusuf Pathan came out after scoring 07 runs.

With 21 runs in 12 balls required, Kaif took two consecutive runs on the first two balls and then hit a six. A total of 13 runs came in this over with only eight runs remaining in the final over. With eight runs remaining in the last over, it looked as though India would easily go after the target.

Brett Lee came to pitch the last one and he did wonders. Lee gave up just five runs and dismissed batsman Mohammad Kaif. However, the turning point of the match was Stuart Binny’s wicket. Actually, Riccardo Powell caught a wonderful jumping catch in the air off Binny.

Previously, captain Aaron Finch and Shane Watson scored a half century for World Giants. Finch scored 53 runs off 31 balls and Watson scored 55 runs off 32 balls. In the end, however, the Giants lost wickets at regular intervals and the score, easily rising to 190, was halted for 166 runs. Ricardo Powell took two wickets for him in the bowling. At the same time, Brett Lee, Tino Best, and Christopher Mapayo each got one piece of land.
