The League of Legends playoffs for the LTA Sul are just around the corner, kicking off this Saturday with a showdown between paiN Gaming and LOUD. We caught up with Cho “Roamer” Woo-jin, the mid laner for paiN Gaming, after one of their group stage matches.
Roamer’s career took off in the academy team of the iconic T1, led by Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. Since March, he’s been donning the jersey of one of Brazil’s most traditional MOBA teams.
Roamer has been living in Brazil for a few months now. He loves the atmosphere and the people – both fans and teammates – who are always energetic. When it comes to food, he’s a big fan of stroganoff.
As for communication with his teammates, which happens in English, Roamer says he can get by day-to-day but isn’t fluent. Luckily, having three fellow South Korean teammates helps him feel more at ease.
The next challenge for Roamer is the LTA Sul playoffs, where he’ll face off against a familiar foe. Can he bring his A-game and help paiN Gaming advance in the tournament? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Life in Brazil
