The fifth international Dota 2 championship wrapped up on Sunday, with a Brazilian team making it to the final. The ESL One Raleigh 2025 concluded with PARIVISION, led by Brazilian coach Filipe “Astini” Astini, facing off against Team Spirit. Astini’s squad had previously been eliminated by Team Spirit in two recent tournaments: the DreamLeague Season 25 in February and the FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 in March. Could they finally break the curse?
The Championship Match
The final was a best-of-five (MD5) showdown, unlike the earlier matches, which were best-of-three (MD3). PARIVISION took the first map in nearly 38 minutes, putting them up 1-0. The second map was slightly faster, with Astini’s team maintaining their lead and taking a 2-0 advantage.
However, Team Spirit fought back in the third game, narrowing the score to 2-1. Still, PARIVISION was one map away from becoming international champions again. The fourth game sealed their victory, with PARIVISION winning in 39 minutes and claiming the title 3-1. The team took home $250,000, roughly $1.457 million.
Astini celebrated on social media, posting:
Dota > LOL.

The post jabbed at League of Legends, a competing game, with Astini saying, “Dota > LOL. Waiting for you to finally switch games and win a title with Brazilians.” This win marked Astini’s second Major championship, following the ESL One Bangkok 2024, where PARIVISION first competed with its full roster.
