Brazil Hunts Historic Fourth Free Fire World Championship

Brazil is poised to contend for an unprecedented fourth Free Fire world championship title as the global finals kick off in Jakarta, Indonesia, later this month.

The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2025 will gather 18 international teams competing for a US$1 million prize pool from October 31 to November 15.

Among the contenders are three Brazilian powerhouses: Fluxo, Team Solid, and E1 Esports. Brazil enters the tournament with a strong legacy, having previously claimed three world titles.

Corinthians won in 2019, followed by Magic Squad in 2023, and Fluxo in 2024. This history positions Brazilian teams as perennial favorites on the global stage.

Marcos Guerra, CEO of Team Solid, acknowledged the increasing international competition. He noted that Free Fire is a “national passion” in Brazil and representing the country is a “huge commitment.”

“The international level is growing, but Brazil maintains its tradition and talent,” Guerra said.

The tournament will unfold at the Indonesia Arena, a venue capable of accommodating 16,500 spectators. The event promises various attractions, including brand activations and live shows alongside the competitive play.

Competition will feature an elimination phase, culminating in a Grand Final for the top 12 teams. Matches will utilize both Battle Royale and Clash Squad (4v4) game modes.

New additions for this edition include the “Champion Rush” system and revised scoring that emphasizes eliminations.

Brazilian teams, who arrive in Jakarta following strong regional performances, are expected to face stiff competition. Rivals include prominent Southeast Asian teams like RRQ Kazu, Buriram, and EVOS Divine, as well as other regional champions from across the globe.

Guerra emphasized the dedication of the Brazilian squads. “Brazilian teams have been working hard since the beginning of the season,” he stated. “Now is the time to transform this preparation into results on the server.”

Beyond the competition, the FFWS 2025 is anticipated to generate cultural and economic benefits for Indonesia. The event will feature local partnerships and global broadcasts in multiple languages, offering significant visibility and prestige for participating players and organizations.
