Brazil canceled the friendly against Argentina in Australia at the request of the AFA

The coordinator of the Brazilian national team, Juninho Paulista, confirmed this Wednesday that the friendly on June 11 in Australia against the Argentine National Team was canceled at the request of the AFA.

During the press conference to announce those summoned for the matches on the FIFA date in June, the CBF leader reported that the friendly scheduled with the “Albiceleste” for June 11 in Australia was cancelled, so now the entity is doomed to look for an African rival to take advantage of that day.

According to Juninho Paulista, the friendly in Australia was canceled at the request of the AFA to the Pitch International company, which is in charge of organizing the friendly matches of both teams. Last week, the CBF had made the match official and tickets had even been put up for sale, but the AFA had never confirmed it, since coach Lionel Scaloni did not like the match, especially since it would take place in Australia a few days after the Finalissima against Italy in London, scheduled for June 1.

So far, the current champion of America has only confirmed the match against the current European monarch and hopes to add a new friendly. The most likely chance at the moment is Israel on June 6.

Meanwhile, the team led by Tite will play on June 2 against South Korea, in Seoul, then travel to Japan to face the local team on June 6 and hopes to close a third friendly against an African rival on June 11 before the refusal of the European teams.
