Brazil annihilates the Dominican Republic 6-0 and regains ground in the U-20 World Cup

Brazil demolished the Dominican Republic 6-0 this Wednesday for the second date of Group D of the U-20 World Cup, which is played in Argentina, and recovered ground in a series that had Nigeria win 2-0 against Italy.

The reigning South American champion left behind the bitter taste of a debut with a defeat against the Azzurri and took oxygen in a high-level series.

Brazil attacked the Dominican goal, that he had lost in his debut against Nigeria, from the first minute of the game. However, failures in the definition and good saves by the rival goalkeeper, Xavier Valdéz, delayed the opening of the scoring.

Brazil is second in Group D with three points and a goal difference of +5, while Nigeria leads with 6 points.
