BravoCon: Brittany Cartwright Says Jax Taylor Delaying Divorce, She’s “Getting Sparkle Back”

Brittany Cartwright offered a significant update on her ongoing divorce from Jax Taylor during BravoCon 2025.

Cartwright, 36, spoke about her separation during ‘The Valley’ panel on Friday, November 14. She stated she is “praying” for the divorce to be finalized in December.

The reality TV star claimed her ex-husband is “dragging it out.” She added that she tried for 10 years, hoping he would change, but that change never came.

Cartwright told the audience she is “definitely” getting her “sparkle” back while enjoying life as a single mother. She commented that her “sparkle” has “come back a lot.”

She also discussed filming season 3 of ‘The Valley’ without Taylor.

“It was great not to be harassed all season,” Cartwright shared. “It was nice to have a break and be able to focus on myself and my son. It was a great experience.” Cartwright and Taylor share a 4-year-old son, Cruz.

Cartwright added that the upcoming season is “lighter” and “much more fun.”

Cartwright and Taylor, 46, married in 2019 during their time on ‘Vanderpump Rules’. The ex-couple left that show in 2020 before their marriage moved to ‘The Valley’ in 2024.

Fans watched Cartwright and Taylor’s marriage unravel during season 2 of ‘The Valley,’ which aired earlier this year. Taylor was in a mental health treatment center for much of that season.

Cartwright officially filed for divorce in August 2024. However, fans saw her being served the divorce papers during a June episode of ‘The Valley’.

As the divorce process continued, Taylor decided to step away from ‘The Valley’.

Taylor shared a statement in July regarding his departure. “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I will be stepping away from the upcoming season of ‘The Valley’,” he said.

He emphasized the need to focus on sobriety, mental health, and co-parenting their son, Cruz. “Taking this time is necessary to become the best version of myself, especially for our son, Cruz,” Taylor explained.

Taylor had previously stated in June on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ that “the plan” for his divorce with Cartwright was to finalize in July.

He detailed their post-separation relationship. “I see Cruz two or three times a week,” Taylor said. “Brittany and I, obviously, have different schedules. Our schedules are somewhat chaotic.”

“That part has gone very well, I can’t complain about that. Hopefully, it stays that way for now,” he concluded.

Cartwright confirmed during the Friday panel that she is officially “single” and ready to date. She previously dated Brandon Hanson, but their relationship ended last month.

“It was a fling,” Cartwright said at BravoCon. “It went public on the internet much faster than it should have been. Because of that, I would not have made it public.”

Cartwright clarified that she is not “a home-wrecker.” She stated that both she and Hanson were separated from their respective spouses when they were together.

“I love being single,” Cartwright remarked. She added that she is looking for someone “tall, dark, and handsome.”
