Brasileirao: Dani Alves leaves São Paulo and David Luiz joins Flamengo

The historic Brazilian right-back Dani Alves rescinded today with São Paulo, led by Argentine Hernán Crespo, due to an economic debt that the club maintained.

Alves, Lionel Messi’s former teammate at Barcelona, ​​did not show up for training in recent days due to lack of payment, and the managers decided to let him go free.

“Good afternoon, we are here to make a statement about Dani Alves, who had to appear for the games with the club after the dates with the National Team and did not appear,” a São Paulo leader began to explain at a press conference.

“The representative told us that he will not return until they catch up, despite the proposal in recent weeks that the athlete did not accept,” he said.

However, in this context, the manager said: “The negotiation will continue with the financial department, but from the football department we decided not to continue, San Pablo is bigger than anyone.”

Dani Alves went through Seville and Barcelona in Spain, Juventus in Italy and PSG in France. Between the clubs and the selected one he reaped 40 titles, which made him the most winning Brazilian footballer in history.

David Luiz returns to Flamengo

For his part, the experienced Brazilian defender David Luiz, who was with the pass in his possession after being released from Arsenal of England, has already agreed the figures with Flamengo from Rio de Janeiro, to play there until December 2022.

In this way, Flamengo adds the 34-year-old defender, who before Arsenal also played for Benfica (Portugal), Chelsea (England) and Paris Saint-Germain (France), among other clubs.

The defender had received offers from Benfica, teams from Arabia and some clubs from European countries such as France and Turkey, but he did not accept and decided to return to Brazil.
