Box office receipts for the film Anek by Ayushmann Khurrana

Box office takings for the film ‘Anek’ starring Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana have been disappointing on the first day. Anubhav Sinha, who directed ‘Article 15’, hoped that this film made on the social issue could show amazing, but its release on May 27, 2022 was slow. According to initial estimates by business analysts, the film earned only Rs 1.75 crore on the first day.

According to a report by ‘Box Office India’, “Many premieres were not good. The first day gross of this movie is around Rs 1.75 crore. However, people’s interest was seen in its late night shows. Compared to the day, it is speculated that, perhaps, ‘Anek’ obtains a better collection on Saturday and Sunday than the first day.

Speaking of the movie, this movie is based on the mission to restore peace in North East India. In the film, Ayushmann plays the role of Aman, an undercover police officer. This is Ayushmann Khurrana’s second film after the Corona epidemic, the premiere of which was not good. Before this, he had done with Vaani Kapoor in the movie ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’. The film had earned Rs 3 crore on the first day, which is more than ‘Anek’.

Film director Anubhav Sinha has been seen making films about social issues. With Ayushmann, he made the film ‘Article 15’ based on castism. The box office collection of this film was less than Rs 100 crore while the cost of production was Rs 30 crore.
