Booker and Jokic drive wins for the Suns and Nuggets

Devin Booker scored 24 points, Chris Paul added 15 and the Phoenix Suns sailed smoothly to a comfortable 102-82 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.

The two teams met for the second night in a row. The Blazers won 108-106 on Friday when Jerami Grant jumped the baseline and scored just before the buzzer sounded.

There was not so much drama on Saturday. The Suns took a 61-40 halftime lead and remained comfortable in the second half.

Phoenix has the best record in the Western Conference at 7-2. Both of their losses have come to the Blazers, who fell to 6-3.

The teams have now completed their total of three meetings with each other in the regular season.

Grant scored 14 points and rookie Shaedon Sharpe added 13. The Blazers had their season low in points.

Nuggets 126

Spurs 101

Bones Hyland had 24 points, Nikokla Jokic added 21 and the Denver Nuggets shot 60 percent from the field to beat the San Antonio Spurs 126-101 on Saturday night.

Michael Porter Jr. added 15 points and Jamal Murray helped with 13 for the Nuggets, who shot 53 of 87, or 60.9 percent, and remained undefeated in four home games this season.

Keldon John scored 25 points and Devin Bassell added 20 for the Spurs, who have lost three in a row.

The Nuggets led by 19 points at halftime and outscored the Spurs 19-25 in the third quarter. They built on a 12-0 run midway through the period to take a 99-76 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
