Boney Kapoor, a big name in the movie world, recently shared a moment with Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath. Kapoor posted a picture on Instagram showing him giving the Chief Minister a bouquet of flowers. He called it a “meaningful meeting,” hinting at important talks.
This meeting comes after Kapoor’s company, Bayview Projects LLP, gave a detailed plan for the Chief Minister’s dream project. This project is a huge “International Film City.” The plans went to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, known as YEIDA.
YEIDA officials say they are now looking over the plans. Once they give their approval, construction on the film city will begin. This massive project aims to turn a vision into reality.
The new film city will sit on more than 1,000 acres of land. It’s located in Sector-21, right by the Yamuna Expressway. The first part of this huge undertaking will cover 230 acres. This initial phase is expected to cost around 1,510 crore rupees.

Arun Veer Singh, the CEO of YEIDA, confirmed that Boney Kapoor’s company made the highest bid for this project. They offered an 18% share of the revenue, which secured them the green light. It’s a huge win for Kapoor and his team.
The entire film city is planned to be built in three main parts over the next eight years. The first part, using 230 acres, will focus on key facilities. This includes 155 acres set aside for film studios, sound stages, and places for editing movies. It will also feature a dedicated film institute. The remaining 75 acres in this first phase will be developed into office spaces and entertainment centers. The later phases will complete the remaining 770 acres, adding even more to this grand vision.
