Boluarte assured during his speech on Independence Day that for his government “there were no winners or losers” during the demonstrations that claimed 77 lives between last December and March.

“I declare that for my government there were no winners or losers, democracy allows the right to peaceful protest, but democracy also allows and demands dialogue, therefore I announce that we will relaunch the (forum of) national agreement, incorporating all social sectors , in order to discuss the social agenda and pending political reforms”, said Boluarte in Congress.

The president of Peru announced that her government will comply with the recommendations that the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) made in its reports after the political and social crisis that the country went through, in which 77 people died from December to March last.

“From this chamber I announce that my government will comply with the recommendations of the IACHR on the matter and I extend my hand and propose to sign a reconciliation pact, a pact for life, for peace, for justice, for equality,” said Boluarte. in front of Congress.
