Bollywood dream girl Hema Malini shared a photo of herself with Nitan Desai and paid tribute to him. The actress wrote: ‘Shocking news this morning, art director Nitin Desai is no more. He was a very good person. He worked with him on many projects. This is a huge loss for the movie industry. Wherever they are, they must be at peace.

The trailer for Akshay Kumar’s movie ‘OMG 2’ was supposed to be released today but the actor has postponed it. He gave this information via Twitter. He wrote: ‘It was incredibly sad to learn about the disappearance of Nitin Desai. He was a legend in production design and a big part of our world of cinema. He worked on many of my movies. This is a great loss. As a show of respect, we will not be releasing the OMG 2 trailer today. I will be releasing it tomorrow at 11am. Calm.’

Sanjay Dutt tweeted: ‘Deeply saddened to learn of the death of Nitin Desai. A brilliant art director and good friend, his contribution to Indian cinema has been monumental. My condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh has expressed his sorrow over Nitin’s death in a tweet. The actor wrote: ‘It is a profound shock to learn that the legendary production designer Nitin Desai, who contributed so much to the growth of Indian cinema, is no more. My condolences to his family and his loved ones. I have known him for many years. He was very talkative, humble, ambitious. I will miss you friend. Om Shanti.

Actress Parineeti Chopra has also expressed her sorrow over Nitin’s death. She wrote on Twitter: ‘Heartbroken to hear about Nitin Sir. His amazing work, intelligence and artistry will always be remembered. Rest in peace sir.

Tell them that Nitin Desai has worked as an art director on 250 advertising films, 180 movies, and around 100 TV shows. It is said that he was struggling with the financial crisis for a long time, after which he took a step like suicide.
