Bollywood Box Office: New Releases Fail to Recoup Budgets

Recent Hindi film releases are struggling to find box office success. Three notable titles, ‘120 Bahadur,’ ‘Mastiii 4,’ and ‘De De Pyaar De 2,’ are generating low collections compared to their production budgets. This trend highlights a challenging period for the industry.

The war drama ‘120 Bahadur’ has slowly built its box office presence. The film opened with an estimated $2.25 million. On Tuesday, it added approximately $1.50 million to its total. Its cumulative collection stands at about $13 million. This is significantly below its reported budget of $85 million.

The comedy ‘Mastiii 4,’ starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, is also performing slowly. It earned an estimated $2.75 million on its opening day. Despite a modest increase over the weekend, Tuesday’s collection was around $1.60 million. The film has gathered approximately $11.70 million in total. Its budget is reportedly $50 million, making its current earnings fall short.

Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ continues its run on its thirteenth day. On Tuesday, the film collected an estimated $1.75 million. Its total box office collection has reached approximately $64 million. This figure remains considerably far from its estimated budget of $135 million.
