Acclaimed Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently working on his next Netflix series, Heeramandi. Actresses like Sonakshi Sinha, Nimrat Kaur, and Manisha Koirala are mentioned as some of the leading actors. And now another name is mentioned; Juhi Chawla.
Juhi is talking to Sanjay about an important cameo. She enthusiastically responded to the offer and found the role very interesting. Juhi sees it as a great challenge.
Heeramandi consists of eight episodes. The series is set in the 19th century in the period before the partition. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will direct the opening and closing episodes himself, while Vibhu Puri and Mitakshara Kumar will direct the rest.
Heeramandi will launch on Netflix later this year in October.
