The Madrilenian Aauri Bokesa signed the second best Spanish brand of all time in the 400 meters by winning this Saturday in the first series of the Berne meeting with a time of 51.08 seconds.
Bokesa, who until now had the best mark with the 51.48 he achieved last week in the Swiss town of La Chaux-de-Fonds, lowered his personal best by 40 hundredths. A “bite” that allowed the 32-year-old athlete from Madrid to take second place in the all-time Spanish rankings only behind Sandra Myers, who set the Spanish record in 1991 in a time of 49.67.
