Boca Juniors wants to complete two more signings: Here are Riquelme’s 4 options

Boca Juniors are currently looking for reinforcements and are aiming to make two new signings by February 9th. With the recent departure of Bruno Valdez, the Argentine club has freed up a quota of foreigners, giving it the opportunity to add new players. The board, led by Juan Román Riquelme, is determined to strengthen the squad and has already outlined some options.

The first alternative on the list is the Chilean winger Carlos Palacios, currently on loan at Colo Colo, but 80% of his transfer belongs to Vasco da Gama. With the opportunity to negotiate directly with the Brazilian club, Boca are confident of landing the 23-year-old player. Although Palacios has expressed his gratitude to Colo Colo, he does not rule out the possibility of a move to Boca, according to newspaper Olé.

They are looking for midfielders

The second available space, subject to confirmation of the departure of Vicente Taborda, is for the towbar position. Options being considered include Rubén Botta and Gabriel Florentín, with the latter complicated by his club’s refusal to let him go on loan. In addition, the management has expressed and mentioned interest in strengthening the midfield Ignacio Miramonfrom Lille in France, and Emiliano Martineza player from Midtjylland in Denmark who was recently called up by Marcelo Bielsa.

Another name on the list is Fausto Vera, a midfielder who currently plays for Corinthians and is closely followed by Riquelme. An outstanding debt from the Brazilian club to Argentinos Juniors could facilitate Vera’s arrival at Boca Juniors. With these operations still a week away, the transfer market for Boca is in full swing and fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome of these negotiations.
