The internet went wild yesterday. News broke about who would star in The Legend of Zelda movie. Fans immediately started digging into the cast list. One name, Bo Bragason, stands out for a surprising reason.

A quick check, thanks to details from Gamesradar+, reveals a cool tidbit. Bo Bragason isn’t entirely new to the world of big-screen game adaptations. She previously worked on Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive. This movie actually set the stage for the Final Fantasy XV video game. It showed what happened before Prince Noctis and his pals began their epic journey. Bragason played a key character, the younger version of Lunafreya, through motion capture.
So, while her time on screen as Lunafreya might have been brief, it means she’s already a veteran of sorts in game-to-film projects. She’s literally embodied a digital princess before. This background gives her a unique edge for the Zelda role. Her later acting credits certainly show she has serious talent, ready for a bigger spotlight.
Fans still have a bit of a wait, though. The Legend of Zelda movie is set to hit theaters on May 7, 2027.
