BMW Group Thailand, working with Performance Motor, recently showcased a truly forward-looking vehicle. They unveiled the BMW Vision Neue Klasse concept car in Thailand. This event offered a clear look into the brand’s future. The vision centers on electric driving, environmental care, and digital tech that feels natural to use. Everything revolves around the person behind the wheel.

The Vision Neue Klasse isn’t just a fancy show car. It’s the blueprint for upcoming electric sedans. BMW started from scratch with its design. The outside looks clean and sporty. Inside, new technology blends the real and digital worlds together easily.

Mr. Rene Gerhard, the President and CEO of BMW Group Thailand, spoke about this new direction. He stated the Vision Neue Klasse marks BMW’s future. It builds on the spirit of the original Neue Klasse cars from the 1960s. Now, it’s ready for the electric era. BMW aims to create cars that are smarter and better for users. They also want them to be more environmentally friendly than ever before.

A Look at the Future Design
The Vision Neue Klasse features a fresh design language. It looks sporty and very clean. Its body color is ‘Joyous Bright’ white with a soft yellow shimmer, giving it an airy feel.
Here’s what stands out in its design:
- The Vision Neue Klasse’s appearance shows a new sporty and clean design approach.
- The body color is ‘Joyous Bright’ white. It has a subtle light yellow sparkle, offering an airy feeling.
- The front design merges the kidney grille and headlights into one piece. The lights use many small bulbs to create a sense of depth.
- The rear design features taillights made with 3D printing. These also create depth, much like the front lights.
The Cabin and Digital Experience
Stepping inside, you find a bright and open space. The cabin emphasizes eco-friendly materials, with no chrome or leather.
The digital features are impressive:
- BMW Panoramic Vision is a core part of the cabin. This technology projects vital information across the entire windshield, right at the driver’s eye level.
- A Central Display allows interaction. Both the driver and front passenger can freely move information from this display to the BMW Panoramic Vision.

Power, Efficiency, and Smart Controls
The Vision Neue Klasse comes with 6th-generation BMW eDrive technology. This system promises better performance in every way.
Key performance improvements include:
- Driving range: Up to 30% increase.
- Charging speed: Up to 30% faster.
- Overall efficiency: 25% higher.
The car uses four advanced electronic control units. These units have 20 times more processing power than current car systems. One special unit is called “Heart of Joy.” It manages all power delivery and vehicle control. This ensures quicker and more precise driving responses.

BMW also redesigned the wiring system. This makes it less complex and lighter. The new wiring is over 600 meters shorter and weighs 30% less than in older models. These changes contribute to the car’s improved efficiency.

Mr. Gerhard affirmed BMW’s commitment. He said showing this concept car means its innovations will soon appear in new cars. These models will roll out to markets around the world.

For those keen to see the future of driving, the concept car was on display. It could be viewed at the “Road to Neue Klasse” zone. This was part of the “BMW Road to Neue Klasse : The Neue New” event. The exhibition took place at Central Embassy, from October 8th to 12th.
