Bloomberg Terminal Expands Crypto Coverage by 40 Coins

Bloomberg has announced that it has massively expanded its coverage of crypto markets. The Bloomberg Terminal now supports the top 50 crypto assets.

Biggest expansion to date

This decision comes as the global institutional investor is increasingly interested in digital assets such as cryptocurrencies. In 2018, Bloomberg had already included 10 cryptocurrencies in its terminal, bringing it to 50 in total. This gives financial professionals and institutions access to real-time financial market data and the ability to place trades instantly.

Since 2013, when Bloomberg started tracking the top cryptocurrency Bitcoin, it is now its largest expansion.

Crypto Market Maturity

The Bloomberg Terminal is regarded worldwide as a pioneering resource for both professional and institutional investors. This is because it offers comprehensive analysis, as well as insight into compliance and potential risks. The terminal also allows users to perform instant transactions. Bloomberg says it is exploring assets at the terminal through a data-driven approach and ensuring that approach evolves along with crypto markets.

Bloomberg Terminal users can access the intraday prices for all crypto it tracks by visiting CRYP.

By adding extra cryptocurrencies now, a maturity of the crypto market is demonstrated. Financial institutions will now look much more closely at their options within the crypto space to both develop platforms and make a profit.
