BLAST London: FURIA Qualifies for CS2 Playoffs, Last Brazilian Hope

The Counter-Strike 2 action at BLAST Open London 2025 has been intense. Three teams from Brazil, FURIA, Legacy, and Imperial, entered the tournament. They all aimed to survive and earn a spot in the playoffs.

The competition started tough for some. Imperial faced Team Liquid and lost their match 2-1. This meant they were out of the running. Legacy also met a similar fate. They played against the Australian team, FlyQuest, and were defeated 2-1, ending their tournament journey as well.

With two fellow teams out, FURIA suddenly carried the hopes for many fans at BLAST London. They faced a huge challenge: Team Spirit, the top-ranked team by Valve. This was a critical match to reach the main playoffs.

The pressure did not seem to bother the Brazilian squad. FURIA started strong, winning the first map, Mirage, with a score of 13-9. The next map, Nuke, was a true back-and-forth battle. Rounds were traded constantly, but FURIA pulled ahead in the final moments, securing a 13-11 win. This gave them a clean 2-0 series victory.

This crucial win means FURIA has qualified for the offline playoffs in London. These final matches will happen from September 5th to 7th at the OVO Arena Wembley. They will join other big names like Vitality, MOUZ, and FaZe, who have also secured their spots.

FURIA’s next match is set for Monday, September 1st. They will play against MOUZ at 12 PM Brasília time. This game will decide the seeding for the knockout stage. Fans can watch all the action on the co-stream channels officially released by BLAST.
