Robinhood was launched in 2013 as a mobile app for the traditional investing world. With its innovative approach, the ability to trade cryptocurrencies was added for the first time in February 2018. Specifically, trading with both Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH) was made possible.

Later, the crypto offering was expanded to include other coins such as Dogecoin and Litecoin (LTC). Initially, only the Ethereum scaling network Polygon (MATIC) was supported. Later, the blockchains became Ethereum and connected to it layer-2’s Arbitrum (ARB) and Optimism (OP) are supported.

The wallet is said to have hundreds of thousands of users in 140 countries.

Now Robinhood’s wallet also offers support for the Bitcoin and Dogecoin network. This allows users to send and receive BTC and DOGE through the wallet.

Additionally, the company began rolling out swap features to select users. This allows Ether to be traded against more than 200 different assets. Users can use this feature without owning an ETH. The wallet brings that with it gas chargesor the transaction costs on the Ethereum network, which are automatically deducted from the tokens they already own.

On the Robinhood website you can now read that Bitcoin and Dogecoin have been added to the list of supported networks.

The Robinhood wallet is expected to come to Android later this year.
