Binance rolls out mobile payment service to US users

The American branch of Binance is also rolling out the mobile payment service, which is already available to the rest of the world, to the United States. It is about “Pay”, which has already been launched for the rest of the world in 2021. With this application, it is possible for users to trade 150 supported cryptocurrencies without transaction fees.

Mobile only available

In a December 13 blog post, Binance US stated that transactions with Pay would incur zero gas fees or transaction costs. Currently the app is only available in the mobile application. The company is working on a web version that should appear “in the near future”.

In any case, Binance and its CEO Changpeng Zhao do not seem to care about the problems the stock market is having right now. The US Department of Justice thinks it has enough evidence to prosecute the exchange platform and its CEO.

In response to the news from Binance US, Changpeng Zhao simply says: “Keep building.” Binance’s flamboyant CEO is undeterred by the negative news currently sweeping his company.

Turbulent times for Binance

Changpeng Zhao may not care about the negative news about Binance, but that doesn’t change the fact that these are turbulent times for the platform. At the time of writing, more than 42,000 Bitcoin has disappeared from the exchange in the past 24 hours. That would mean that the exchange still has 527,304 Bitcoin on its books. It’s not really a problem, but it will still hurt a bit.

The recordings followed, among other things, a reporting from Reuters, in which it reports that the US Department of Justice may want to take action against Binance. There are also some doubts about the Proof-of-Reserves that Binance has had Mazars Veritas do.

Things now seem stable again at Binance. Yesterday’s shooting was not even in the top 5 of his scholarship, according to Changpeng Zhao. Among other things, the days when LUNA and FTX slipped were more intense. Furthermore, CZ says he thinks it would be a good idea to test centralized exchanges in time.
