Binance CEO Unfollows Crypto Friend Elon Musk On Twitter

Last fall, Elon took Musk after a long process officially Twitter about. However, he has not done this entirely on his own, but with a kind of consortium of interested parties who all indirectly own a small part of Twitter shares. Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao is also part of this consortium, but it seems that he is no longer in favor of Musk’s plans.

Are CZ and Elon Musk Feuding?

Zhao, also known as ‘CZ’, no longer follows Musk on Twitter. The crypto business analyst Big Crypto Alert has discovered this. It could be an insignificant change, but CZ follows suit at the moment over 1,600 accounts. Musk’s ‘de-following’ will therefore probably have been a conscious choice.

Zhao has been helping Musk with Twitter’s struggling takeover, which could be a factor. Twitter has been working with eToro since April. Since then you can buy bitcoin via Twitter thanks to this collaboration.

CZ’s Binance is still the largest crypto exchange in the world, and its CEO helped Musk with the acquisition of Twitter. So you would think that Musk would choose to lend Zhao a hand by partnering with Binance. So it is possible that a slight resentment has developed in Zhao. However, he has not commented on the decision, so for now it remains speculation.

The acquisition of Twitter was not easy. Musk already announced in April of 2022 that he would buy the platform, but the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) subsequently put a stop to this. It finally worked in November.
