‘Bigg Boss’ Star Tanya Mittal Probed for Firing Banned Carbide Gun

Reality television personality and social media influencer Tanya Mittal is facing a police complaint in Gwalior. The complaint alleges she fired a “potash gun,” a weapon currently under a government ban.

The controversy erupted after a video widely circulated on social media. Mittal is reportedly seen in a pink sari, allegedly discharging the prohibited carbide gun in the footage.

A Gwalior resident, Shishupal Singh Kanshana, formally lodged the complaint with ASP Anu Beniwal. He cited prohibitory orders from Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Collector Ruchika Chauhan, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Kanshana has called for a First Information Report (FIR) to be registered against Mittal. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has since ordered an investigation into the matter. Collector Ruchika Chauhan is also overseeing the ongoing probe.

The ban on carbide guns in Madhya Pradesh stems from serious safety concerns. Authorities report that over 300 individuals have faced risks of vision impairment due to the use of these weapons.

A critical aspect of the investigation is the timeline of the viral video. The complainant suggests the footage dates back to a previous year.

If the video is confirmed to be from before the ban was imposed, it could impact the legal proceedings. An FIR might not be filed if the alleged incident occurred prior to the weapon’s prohibition.
