Glenn Maxwell issued a statement on Saturday saying that even though his left foot injury is now improving, it will still take time for him to be fully fit. He has said that it will take several months to regain his full physical condition. Significantly, after the T20 World Cup in November last year, he went to a party where he slipped and fell and injured his left leg. Maxwell had to have an operation after this. He returned in the ODI series against India and was also ruled out of the last two ODIs. He now he is ready to play in IPL.

RCB concern will increase

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who is preparing for the Indian Premier League (IPL), said in a video posted on the franchise’s social media that my leg is fine now but it will take several months to to be 100 percent fit. The 34-year-old further added that he is hopeful that he can play the role of him in the IPL for RCB. He said that I hope my foot will be fine throughout the tournament and I can play my role. He has definitely talked about staying fit, but his statement must have raised RCB’s concern somewhere. Because he has been out since the first ODI and how comfortable he is in training will only be known on match day. RCB have to play their first game against Mumbai Indians on April 2.
