Big relief for Karan Johar, court dismissed request to ban ‘Jug Jug Jio’

Famous Bollywood producer and director Karan Johar’s movie Jug-Jug Jio will be released on June 24 according to the set schedule. The Ranchi court dismissed the petition seeking a stay on Thursday. Ranchi resident Vishal Singh filed a petition in the commercial court located at the Ranchi Civil Court, accusing him of stealing the film’s story and script. The petitioner, a resident of Ranchi, Vishal Singh, is a Chartered Accountant by profession.

Vishal had said in his complaint that the movie ‘Jug Jug Jio’ was made after stealing his story ‘Bunny Rani’. When the trailer for the film was released on May 22, he realized that this is his story. Vishal Singh had sent him this story earlier. The producer returned this story to him and secretly made a movie about it.

Hearing this petition, the court issued notices to the owners of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar and Suber Mishra, as well as creative Headly Mishra, co-producer Viacom18, and the Screen Writers Association. The court had also ordered that arrangements be made for its screening. On this, Karan Johar had filed a petition in court asking for the film to be shown, but Vishal Singh was not to be shown the film.

After this, after the film’s screening in court on June 21 and 22, there was an argument from both sides. During the hearing, arguments were presented by lead counsel Chittaranjan Sinha on behalf of Karan Johar and counsel Kumar Vaibhav on behalf of Vishal Singh. After hearing from both sides, the court dismissed the lawsuit.
