Indian cricket team
The Indian team will embark on the South Africa tour immediately after the end of the 5-match T20 series against Australia on home soil. Here he has to play a series of 3 T20, 3 ODI and 2 Test matches. Given the importance of the Test series, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning three four-day practice matches to allow Team India’s senior players to fully acclimate to the conditions before the series begins. Some senior players of the Indian team who are not currently part of the Test team are also looking forward to their comeback, where they will also get a chance to take part in these practice matches to prove themselves.
The team will be announced shortly
The Indian team for the South Africa tour may also be announced soon. There are also some new names in the team who have been performing consistently well in domestic cricket for quite some time now. A BCCI source gave information about these practice matches and said that there will be three four-day Tests between India ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’ next month. The team for this will be announced in a few days. Ahead of the main team’s two friendly matches in Centurion (December 26th to 30th) and Cape Town (January 3rd to 7th), most of the young players with consistent performances as well as some older players will also be there. This gives all players the opportunity to adapt to the conditions there.
All eyes are on the return of Ajinkya Rahane and Pujara
Team India has not managed to win the Test series in South Africa even once. In such a situation, this tour will prove to be very important for the team. Meanwhile, all eyes are also on the announcement of the Test team in which Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane will be included or not as the performances of both of them were nothing to write home about last year. At the same time, we also see some new names like Upendra Yadav and Saurabh Kumar in the team who are consistently excelling in domestic cricket.
