There has been a long-standing dispute with Mohammed Shami, the star bowler of the Indian team, and his wife Hasin Jahan. Hasin made serious allegations against Mohammed Shami, including a major allegation such as domestic violence. The case on this matter was heard in court for a long time. There is now good news for Shami in this regard.
Shami was exonerated by the court
Ahead of the ODI World Cup, India’s star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has received major relief. A lower court in Kolkata has granted him bail in a domestic violence case filed by his wife Hasin Jahan. Shami’s elder brother Mohammad Haseeb was also granted bail by the same court on Tuesday. On Tuesday, both brothers appeared in court where their lawyer filed a bail application, which was approved.
The accusation was made in 2018
In March 2018, the Indian fast bowler’s wife filed a complaint of domestic violence. In her complaint, she had accused Shami of physically harassing her. The police had also questioned Shami and his elder brother in this case and issued an arrest warrant against both of them. However, a lower court in Calcutta had stayed this arrest warrant. Thereafter, Hasin Jahan approached the Calcutta High Court and challenged the lower court’s order. However, the higher court had also confirmed the lower court’s order.
The court made an important decision
He then filed a challenge to the Supreme Court’s order in the Supreme Court, which recently remanded the case to the same lower court and directed it to take a final decision after hearing all parties to the case. A fresh hearing in the case then began in the lower court, which finally granted bail to the cricketer in the domestic violence case on Tuesday. In January this year, the court had ordered the Indian fast bowler to pay a monthly maintenance allowance of Rs 1.30 lakh to his wife Hasin Jahan, of which Rs 50,000 was for personal maintenance and the remaining Rs 80,000 was for her wife’s maintenance expenses Daughter.
