Big decision by Afghanistan Cricket Board, central contract of three players stopped!

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has made an important decision regarding three players of the team. The board has stopped the central contracts of Mujeeb ur Rehman, Fazal Farooqui and Naveen ul Haq. In addition, the board has decided not to issue an appeal certificate to these players for the next two years. The players had expressed to the board their desire to break away from the central contract, following which the decision was made not to issue the clearance certificate.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has officially issued a press release sharing this information. The press release stated that the players would focus more on playing for Afghanistan in the commercial league and their personal interests. They do not give priority to national duty.

Afghanistan formed a committee to look into the matter and one member said: “The three players had officially informed the board of their decision to withdraw from the central contract from January 1, 2024.” They expressed their willingness and demanded to review their decision to agree to participate in national events.
