This is how the injury happened

The match was played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 round of the Asia Cup on Thursday. In that match, Tikshana injured her hamstring while trying to save a foursome. He tried to jump on the fifth ball of the 34th over and was in extreme pain. The star mystery spinner received immediate medical attention and, despite reeling from discomfort, returned to the field to complete his quota of overs. Sri Lanka Cricket has informed about the unavailability of Theekshana on its social media.

The Sri Lanka board said on social media that “Mahish Tikhina, who sustained a right hamstring strain during the match against Pakistan, will not be available for the final. A scan was performed and a muscle injury was confirmed. Sri Lanka.” The cricket selectors have brought Sahan Arachige into the squad in place of Tikshna. Tikshna will return to the High Performance Center to begin his recovery.

Tikshana played all five matches for Sri Lanka in the tournament before being eliminated in the final, taking eight wickets for her team at an average of 29.12.
