Jyoti Singh, estranged wife of Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh, has officially entered the political arena. She filed her nomination as an independent candidate for the Karakat seat on Monday.
This move comes amid a highly publicized and acrimonious divorce battle between Singh and his wife. Their relationship has been a frequent subject of public discussion, marked by mutual accusations.
Jyoti Singh has leveled various allegations against Pawan Singh. In response, Singh has made his own statements regarding their dispute.
Notably, Pawan Singh had previously alluded to his wife’s political aspirations. He mentioned this during a press conference where he addressed her allegations.
Singh revealed that Jyoti’s father reportedly desired for his daughter to become a Member of Legislative Assembly. He expressed disappointment, stating he “didn’t expect her to stoop so low for a legislature seat.”
The divorce proceedings between the couple are currently ongoing in court. Jyoti Singh has also filed a separate maintenance case.
Pawan Singh had previously discussed their pending divorce case on the reality show ‘Rise and Fall’. The conflict between them reportedly escalated further after his departure from the show.
