Bharti Singh Reveals Early Career Bus Molestation, Unaware for 1.5 Years

Bharti Singh, the comedian and host known for her incredible sense of humor, recently shared a surprising story. She opened up about difficult times from her early career. It’s a candid look at her journey, touching on both her professional rise and personal struggles.

Bharti spoke about this during a recent interview on Raj Shamani’s podcast. She talked about her life, both on stage and off. That’s when she shared a shocking detail. Early in her career, she experienced inappropriate touching. The truly unsettling part was that she didn’t even realize what was happening at the time.

When Things Felt Confusing

Bharti explained that money was tight back then. She often took jobs performing comedy skits at colleges. This meant catching the 5 AM bus every day. Those early morning buses were always packed. They were usually filled with milk vendors heading to work.

There was hardly ever any space to stand comfortably. People would often lose their balance and fall against her. Bharti simply couldn’t make sense of it then. She recalled, “For a year and a half, I honestly didn’t understand they were touching me inappropriately.” She just thought it was accidental. “One day, someone held me really tight,” she said. Even then, her mind went to the same explanation. She thought, “They must have just grabbed me by mistake while falling.”

Her Moment of Clarity

Over time, Bharti started to learn about “good touch” and “bad touch.” This knowledge changed everything for her. She said, “That’s when the real Bharti inside me woke up.” She decided she wouldn’t be a silent victim anymore.

She began to fight back. “I elbowed many people,” she admitted. One time, she even slapped a boy taller than her. She recalled her hand shaking as she did it. Bharti said she felt a newfound strength. Now, she is fully aware and stands up for herself.

A Look at Bharti Singh’s Life
