Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni has received his first call-up to Argentina’s senior national team, joining superstar Lionel Messi and veteran defender Nicolas Otamendi for a friendly against Angola.
Prestianni, 19, is part of the 24-player squad announced by coach Lionel Scaloni.
The match is scheduled for November 14 in Luanda, Angola.
It forms part of Angola’s 50th independence anniversary celebrations.
Prestianni previously featured prominently in the U-20 World Cup, where Argentina reached the final.
He has made 13 appearances and scored one goal for Benfica this season.
Otamendi, a regular fixture in the squad, is also a Benfica teammate.
The game will be held at Luanda’s Estádio 11 de Novembro, which has a capacity of 50,000 spectators.
Argentina and Angola have met once before, with Argentina winning a 2006 friendly 2-0 in Italy.
