Benfica secured a narrow 3-2 victory over Portuguese rivals Oliveirense in a UEFA Champions League group stage match, maintaining their flawless record in Group B.
The match, an all-Portuguese clash played in Oliveira de Azeméis, marked the second fixture of the group stage campaign.
Benfica opened the scoring with a goal from Viti. Oliveirense quickly responded, with João Souto finding the equalizer.
Zé Miranda then put Benfica back in front, giving them a 2-1 lead by halftime.
In the second half, Lucas Ordonez extended Benfica’s advantage to 3-1. Marc Granes scored for Oliveirense late in the game, bringing the final score to 3-2.
