Benfica Aims for Fourth Basketball Title Against FC Porto Tonight

The stage is set at Dragão Arena, where FC Porto and Benfica face off at 7 pm in the third game of the 2024/25 basketball league playoff finals.

Current Standings

Benfica leads the series 2-0 after winning the first two games at Pavilhão da Luz.
A win for Benfica means they’ll clinch the title and their fourth consecutive championship, making it their 31st title in the club’s history.
On the other hand, if FC Porto wins, they’ll force a Game 4 at Dragão Arena on Sunday, giving them a chance to tie the series and push the finals to a decisive Game 5 at Luz.

Past Meetings

Historically, FC Porto has never come back from a 0-2 deficit to win against Benfica in a playoff series.
In fact, it was Benfica who achieved this feat in 2011, recovering from 2-0 down to win 4-3.
This season, before the playoff finals, FC Porto led the head-to-head with four wins to Benfica’s three in seven games.
However, Benfica’s recent back-to-back wins have given them the edge, with five wins to FC Porto’s four.
In games played at Dragão Arena, FC Porto has the upper hand with two wins to Benfica’s one.
