These days, the England team is on tour of India for a five-match Test series. Two games of the series were played. Young spinner Rehan Ahmed is also on this tour with England. Rehan is a follower of the Islamic religion. Amid the series against India, Rehan Ahmed revealed that captain Ben Stokes gives him time for prayers all the time.
According to BCC, Rehan said that Captain Stokes fully respects his Islamic faith. He said that Stokes was very good at these things.
Regarding Islamic activities in his daily life, Rehan said, “It is much more important than cricket. Stokes is very good at it.”
The weirdo said that it was no problem for him to make time for Friday prayers. Recalling an incident, Rehan said, “I remember on Friday it was a team day in Abu Dhabi because we had to offer namaz.”
He continued: “Stokes wrote to me directly: ‘Come to me whenever you want something like that, I completely understand.’ And yes, he stands by his words. Whenever I offer prayers, he is very respectful and understanding.”
Two matches of the ongoing five-match Test series between India and England have been played. England had won the first Test. In the second game, India then leveled the series 1-1. Now the third match will be played in Rajkot from February 15.
