Dhruv Jurel put in a brilliant performance in the Ranchi Test against England and was awarded the Player of the Match award. Jurel won everyone’s hearts with his batting and wicketkeeping. He had scored 90 runs in the first innings of the match when India lost seven wickets for 177 runs. In the second innings, Jurel played an important role in India’s victory with 39* runs. After his brilliant performance, England’s wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Fox developed a crush on Jurel.
The Indian wicketkeeper-batsman’s brilliant performance touched the heart of Ben Fox. England captain Ben Stokes said of Jurel after the Ranchi Test: “He played brilliantly in both innings. His attitude was also worth seeing – I think Ben Foakes has a bit of a crush on him there.”
