Bell Bottom Box Office Collection Day One Akshay Kumar Vaani Kapoor

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s spy movie ‘Bellbottom’ is rocking the box office. Although the film got less response than expected. The film has made a business of Rs 2.5-2.75 crore at the box office on the first day. ‘Bellbottom’ comes at a time when cinemas in Maharashtra are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Although movie theaters have been opened in many states with some restrictions. Cinemas in Delhi are open at 50 percent capacity. According to a report by Box Office India, New Delhi has emerged as the largest market for film, contributing 20 percent of gross revenue to the business nationwide.

The films were expected to increase the number of viewers during the night of the first opening day and that the film would have a business of 3 million rupees, but this hope of the commercial analysts and the filmmakers was broken. Bellbottom is running in less than 1,000 theaters across the country.

Box Office India said that many theaters in the country opened between 15 and 20 percent occupancy. ‘Bellbottom’ is the first major film to be released in theaters after the second wave of the pandemic. Vaani Kapoor’s lead Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta, and Adil Hussain reached over 1600 screens in India.

The first day earnings of ‘Bellbottom’ are believed to be less than those of ‘Roohi’ and ‘Mumbai Saga’. Both films were released after the first wave allowed theaters to run at full capacity. ‘Roohi’ made a business of more than Rs 3 crore on the first day, while ‘Mumbai Saga’ earned Rs 2.82 crore.
