The organizers of the Beijing Olympics announced this Thursday 55 more positives for COVID-19.
The new daily count includes 26 cases detected among athletes and team managers, of the around 68,000 tests carried out. Thirteen of them tested positive upon arrival in Beijing and the other 13 in the PCR tests that they undergo daily.
The remaining 29 infections were from accredited workers and personnel.
In total, since January 23, 287 new cases of coronavirus have been registered, which were confined.
The IOC said on Wednesday that at least 11 people have been treated at a hospital, although none of the cases were serious.
