BCCI’s Shocking Move: Wives Banned from Foreign Cricket Tours

Restrictions on Family Accommodations and Travel for Team India

Following a review meeting by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, several key decisions have been made regarding Team India’s arrangements on foreign tours. One of the significant changes is the restriction on the duration of family stays. Players’ families will no longer be allowed to stay for more than 14 days on tours lasting 45 days.

Limitations on Family Time

This new rule aims to minimize distractions and ensure players remain focused on their game. The decision comes after India’s recent defeats against Australia and New Zealand, which led to criticism and scrutiny of the team’s performance. The BCCI has taken steps to address these concerns and optimize the team’s dynamics.

Travel Arrangements

Another significant change is the mandatory requirement for all players to travel with the team. Previously, some senior players, including Virat Kohli, have been known to travel separately. However, the BCCI has now made it compulsory for every player to use the team bus, promoting unity and teamwork.

Changes in Support Staff Tenure

In addition to the changes in family accommodations and travel arrangements, the BCCI has also decided to limit the tenure of the support staff. The new rule states that the support staff will be appointed for a period of two years, with the option to extend for a maximum of one more year, totaling three years. This decision aims to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the team.
