BCCI wrote a letter to the host state association of the World Cup matches, this special appeal to all

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has fully prepared to host the upcoming ODI World Cup. For the first time, India alone is hosting this mega-event. The tournament will be played in 12 different places in the country. In such a situation, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah also made a special appeal by writing a letter to the 10 state associations organizing the World Cup matches after the schedule announcement.

The discontent of many state associations for failing to get even a single ODI World Cup match has been seen. In such a situation, according to India Today news, in a letter written by BCCI, the host association of the matches have been appealed not to give their names to host bilateral series matches in the upcoming international season. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had sent this letter to all state associations on June 28.

On June 26, just one day before the announcement of the World Cup schedule, this request was made to the State Association on behalf of Secretary Jai Shah. After this they all accepted the secretary’s demand. The matches are being hosted by Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamshala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune. While the warm-up matches will take place in Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad.

In such a situation many big venues Mohali, Nagpur, Rajkot, Indore, Ranchi, Raipur were unable to host the matches and there was disappointment in these state associations. Before the World Cup, India has to play the ODI series against Australia, the matches of which can be assigned to these state associations. At the same time, after the World Cup, India can also play a 5-game T20 series with Australia at home.
