BCCI will plant 50,000 trees after completing 100 dot balls in playoff games

Following the end of the league stage matches in IPL Season 16, the playoff matches have now started. In the first qualifying match of the season, the 4-time winner Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated the defending champions Gujarat Titans by 15 runs and went straight into the final. Lucknow and Mumbai meet in this season’s knockout match. Taking a great initiative, the BCCI has decided to plant 500 trees at every point ball during the IPL playoff matches.

This initiative by the Board of Control of Cricket India (BCCI) is being praised everywhere. The total number of point balls crossed the 100 mark during the knockout match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) which was played in Chennai. Following this, BCCI will now plant more than 50,000 trees.

A total of 84 balls were bowled in the first qualifying match played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. After this, the total number of trees to be planted reached 42,000. Ravindra Jadeja, the all-rounder of the CSK team, threw a maximum of 12 dot balls in this match. This BCCI initiative was revealed during playoff games when a tree emoji was used to display the point ball during the live broadcast.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah also informed about this initiative through his tweet. In this he also mentioned in his tweet that whoever says that T20 is only a game of batters but it is also a game of bowling. All these things are only in your hands.
