BCCI takes major action, sacks coach Abhishek Nair and two others amid controversy.

The Indian cricket team has lost a few key support staff members after its 1-3 loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) took tough measures.

What Happened to the Support Staff

The BCCI fired assistant coach Abhishek Nair, fielding coach T Dilip, and trainer Soham Desai. They made this decision after a review meeting following the series loss. The team management complained that information from the dressing room was leaking.

Abhishek Nair started as assistant coach just 8 months ago. The BCCI won’t replace him because Sitanshu Kotak is already the batting coach on board.

T Dilip’s duties will be covered by assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate. Adrian Le Roux is taking Soham Desai’s place. Le Roux worked with the Kolkata Knight Riders from 2008 to 2019 and was with Team India from 2002 to 2003. He’s currently with the Punjab Kings in the IPL and has signed with the BCCI.

These changes come after a tough loss for the Indian team. The shake-up shows the BCCI’s commitment to making things right for the future.
