Team India has won the Women’s Under-19 World Cup 2025 title by defeating South Africa in the final match. The Indian team secured a 9-wicket victory, making this their second consecutive title in the Under-19 women’s category. Following this achievement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) extended their congratulations to Team India and announced a reward of Rs 5 crore.
The BCCI made the announcement regarding the reward through social media, specifying that it is intended for the players and coaching staff of the team. In a post on X, the BCCI stated, “BCCI congratulated Team India’s Women Under-19 team for a consecutive T20 World Cup victory, 5 crore for the winning team and colleague staff led by Head Coach Nushin Al Khadir. Announced a cash prize of rupee.”
In the final match of the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, South Africa chose to bat after winning the toss and managed to score 82/10 runs in 20 overs. Mike Van Wourst was the top scorer for South Africa with 23 runs in 18 balls, including 3 fours. Meanwhile, four batsmen from the team failed to score any runs. Gongadi Trisha took the most wickets for India, securing 3 wickets.
Team India successfully chased the target, winning by 9 wickets after scoring 84/1 runs in 11.2 overs. Gongadi Trisha played a crucial role in the team’s victory, scoring 44* runs with the help of 8 fours in 33 balls. Her impressive performance with both bat and ball earned her the title of ‘Player of the Match’.
