BCCI did not accept the hybrid model, screw stuck in the organization of the Asian Cup

Asia Cup 2023: The dispute between the Cricket Board of Control in India and the Cricket Board of Pakistan regarding the organization of the Asia Cup 2023 does not take the name of stopping. BCCI has refused to accept the hybrid PCB model. BCCI wants the Asian Cup to be hosted at a neutral venue. However, the picture may be clear on whether the Asian Cup will take place next week or not.

BCCI has initiated factionalism to strengthen its position. Cricket Board officials from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have been invited by the BCCI to watch the IPL final. During this, the discussion on the organization of the Asian Cup is possible. According to a PTI report, a day after the IPL final, a meeting between BCCI secretary Jay Shah and board officials from other countries visiting India is possible.

Please say that Pakistan has the right to host the Asian Cup this year. But BCCI has refused to send the India team to Pakistan for security reasons. Following this, the Pakistan Cricket Board introduced a hybrid model, under which an offer was made to host India’s matches in another country.

On Wednesday, Pakistani media channels broke the news that BCCI has accepted the hybrid PCB model. But the reality is that BCCI has not accepted this model. BCCI wants the Asian Cup to be held in Sri Lanka.

At the same time, the Pakistan Cricket Board has also linked the Asian Cup controversy with the ODI World Cup to be held in India. The PCB says that if it is stripped of the right to host the Asian Cup, then it can boycott the World Cup to be held in October-November. However, the possibility of this seems less likely.
