The Team Performed Brilliantly in the World Cup

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team has secured a second title win in the T20 World Cup 2024, defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the final match. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a prize money of Rs 125 crore for the players and support staff, as announced by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah.

The Indian team’s excellent performance throughout the tournament has won the hearts of everyone. “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the players, coaches, and support staff of the team on this achievement,” said Jay Shah in a tweet.

Defeated South Africa in a Thrilling Manner in the Final

The Indian team’s undefeated campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024 led to its historic win, making it the first team to win the World Cup trophy without losing a single match. In the final match played on the ground of Barbados, Virat Kohli played an important role with the bat, while Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya were instrumental in bowling.

The Indian team, captained by Rohit Sharma, also received a prize money of Rs 20.36 crore from the ICC for winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title.
