The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released its latest central contract list for male cricketers, featuring 34 players across four grades. The top tier, A+, includes Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja, all of whom were part of the same category last year.
New Faces and Departures
The latest list brings in five new players: Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Avesh Deep, Abhishek Sharma, and Varun Chakravarthy. On the other hand, four players have been dropped from the contract: Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan, KS Bharat, and Jitesh Sharma.
Contract Grades and Salaries
The BCCI central contract is divided into four grades, with salaries ranging from ₹1 crore to ₹7 crore.
- The A+ grade includes four players, each earning ₹7 crore: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja.
- The A grade comprises six players, with a salary of ₹5 crore: Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Shami, and Rishabh Pant.
- The B grade features five players, earning ₹3 crore: Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shreyas Iyer.
- The C grade includes 19 players, with a salary of ₹1 crore: Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Avesh Deep, Varun Chakravarthy, and Harshit Rana.
